Kanchenjunga Stadium was built during the year of 1980 and was dedicated to honouring Kesto Paul, a renowned Olympian Footballer in India.

It has a seating capacity of more than 40000 and has already hosted many important national and cricket matches.

In the year of 2010, the first Ranji Trophy between India and Punjab was hosted here and till now the stadium has hosted 11 Ranji Trophy Matches.

Moreover, the stadium also hosted two Celebrity Cricket League matches.

If we talk about football matches, in 2012 and 2015 the stadium hosted Federation Cup Matches & 2nd Division of I-League Matches respectively.

Furthermore, It even hosted two Derby Matches of I-league in the year of 2016.
